GENERAL ROLE IN THE GALACTIC SCHEME OF THINGS:

Nuerbles are small, doughy little things with enormous curiosity and essentially no ambition.

Nuerbles are found throughout most of the Galaxy, in fact, they practically infest it. But since they contribute practically nothing to Entropy, they are largely undetectable by conventional means.

It is thought that they account for a large part of the missing mass of the Universe.
 

GROUP RELATIONS:
 
 
Social behavior in the Nuerble is limited to hanging out together in large groups and packing as many as possible into small places.
The Guinness Book of Galactic Records gives thirty-seven as the most Nuerbles to pack in a gallon milk jug, and four hundred and fifty-six in the boot of a 1957 MG Midget.

ORIGINS:

Nuerbles originally come from the planet Lanulos, which is in an unchartable region of the Galaxy just beyond the Galactic core.

Their ready adaptability to conditions found anywhere in the Universe are a dead giveaway that Nuerbles are not a naturally occurring lifeform. In fact, they were biologically engineered entities, originally intended as law enforcement tools; a task they proved hopelessly unsuited for, because nobody would take them seriously.

Even so, Nuerbles are accustomed to doing what they damn well please, and are enormously fond of donuts and coffee.
